Guwahati : Two militants have been killed by security forces in central Assam's Sonitpur district, Army sources said on Sunday.
The militants were killed in a joint operation by army and police near the Dhekiajuli tea estate, about nine kms from the army's Missamari cantonment, at 9.30 pm last night.
Army sources said the identity of the ultras were yet to be ascertained.
One nine mm revolver, one AK-56 rifle and assorted ammunition was recovered from the spot.
