GJM team in Ranchi for tribal support

JALPAIGURI: Eager to win over the confidence of the country’s tribal population, a GJM delegation, headed by the party’s general secretary Roshan
Giri, has gone to Jharkhand to hold meetings with tribal leaders who are vastly popular in the tribal community.
GJM’s central committee decided to send the delegation to Jharkhand to meet tribal leaders after they understood that it would not be easy for the party to penetrate into the Dooars and Terai owing to vehement opposition from Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parshad (ABAVP).
The delegation on Monday met Ramdayal Munda, a Jharkhand agitation leader, in Ranchi. The team has plans to meet several other tribal leaders in the next two days.
